Mobile & Transit Antennas

  • F-33499 Sharkfin Antenna

    Frequency Range: 406-470 MHz
The F-33499 is a Covert Vehicle Antenna disguised in Shark Fin housing. This antenna provides 0 dBd of gain and less than 1.7:1 VSWR over 10 MHz bandwidth in the range of frequency of 406 to 470MHz. It has a radiation pattern nearly omnidirectional in azimuth. The shark fin style disguised antennas allow a public security organization to use a vehicle’s existing AM/FM antennas for both conventional radio receiver functions as well as allowing a two-way radio to communicate over the same antenna.  This allows a covert vehicle to avoid the need for a long mobile antenna.
    • 0 dBd of gain
    • Less than 1.7:1 VSWR over its operating bandwidth
    • A radiation pattern nearly omnidirectional in azimuth
    • A broadcast coupler is optionally available
    • Cross-band couplers when multi-band operation required on a single antenna

  • F-3758

    Frequency Range: 806-960 MHz
    Gain: Unity
Our line of radome transit antennas for operation in the 806-960 MHz band consists of compact, low profile antennas in weatherproof ABS radomes. When mounted on a horizontal surface, maximum radiation is omnidirectional and vertically polarized. These antennas are an excellent choice for low clearance applications such as those found on trains, mass transit vehicles, construction equipment and police and emergency vehicles. The F-3758 model is a standard, folded radiator housed in a sturdy high-impact ABS radome. To ensure a moisture proof installation, the F-3758 model is supplied with a mounting gasket. DOWNLOAD PDF
  • F-3990 VHF Peak Performance Antenna

Frequency Range: Available for 136-174 MHz
F-3990 This VHF antenna is designed for applications that require peak performance in the 136-174 MHz while tolerating a VSWR around 2.0:1. This antenna has a loading coil between the radiating element and the base. This coil increases the electrical length and makes the antenna perform electrically as a 1/4 wave antenna, but shorter than a regular 1/4 wave antenna. Typical gain, when mounted on a ground plane, is comparable to a full 1/4 wave. Mounts on NMO. The upper element is made from a brass wound cable with a flexible shaft core, well sealed using rubber shrink material. This solution offers a high reliability and prevents breakage or brittleness. Other frequencies are available upon request. DOWNLOAD PDF
  • CABLE KITS: Comprod’s brass mounts and cable kits are among the best in the Industry. The cable kits present a consistent 50 Ohms impedance to match our mobile antennas, ensuring that our customers receive the best combined performance from the antennas and the cable kits. The quality of our designs is one of the factors that allows our wideband models to outperform the competition. CONNECTORS: We carry and stock a complete line of connectors. • For optimal performance two bumper antennas are installed in a vehicle: one at the front of the vehicle and one at the rear. The Comprod power splitter (SPLT-BUMP-400900) is designed to help to create an omnidirectional pattern around the vehicle and enable better network coverage. DOWNLOAD PDF
